Longevity vs. Loyalty

Do I really need to say much on this subject?

Its really very simple.. if a person adds nothing to you or your dreams, there is really no need for an intimate relationship with them. Every relationship should have a purpose. Ask yourself, are you GROWING in this relationship/friendship, or are you constantly getting torn down? The Bible says, let go of that which destroys you. I don’t care how LONG you’ve been friends if all they ever do is pull you down, hold you back, secretly seek your demise, delude and betray you. If you even have to QUESTION their loyalty, there’s a problem there.

What are you holding onto? Don’t be afraid to throw the deuces just cus you were banking on it being a life-long friendship. Forget who has a problem with it if its for YOUR own good. Don’t get me wrong, some friendships are worth the effort, but some just really aren’t. Sticking around is a blatant disregard of wisdom. [Most times holding on longer than He intended for the person to be in your life only ends up hurting you more.]

At the end of the day, its not the quantity of the years, its the substance of the bond that holds value. So if its lost its worth, let it go.

Each friendship is a lesson. Cherish them. Not all are meant to last. Thank God for that!

Some of the things people get angry over these days confuses me.

You’re giving yourself early onset heart disease over the pettiest things. Pride, anger, envy will be the death of you. Its not worth it. Swear.

I read somewhere not too long ago that our social interactions today determine the likelihood of cardiovascular disease later in life. The more angry, negative, bitter you are today, the higher your chances of early heart disease later. Heart disease is the number one cause of deaths worldwide, people. Helloooo!! Its real. Choose life. Be happy. Ignore foolishness. Flee negativity. LIVE!!

Let go of that which destroys you. Life is short man.

I was reintroduced to the man of my dreams yesterday.

I can’t wait to marry him!

hahahaha. No, but really. ^_^

I don’t think i’ve had a bad day this year

And I think has a lot to do with the work that God is doing in me. “bad” is definitely relative. So what may be considered a bad day to some I find totally exhilarating because it’s exciting to see what God is trying to teach me in each experience.

What normally would have made me miserable actually ends up making me chuckle once I realize the bigger picture.

For instance, I spent an entire work day at the mechanics on Tuesday trying to fix a problem that I had only budgeted 15 minutes and forty bucks for. Ended up paying close to two hundred dollars and having to call out of work last minute. But it was totally worth it. Just knowing Christ was there, walking me through it, keeping me calm and speaking to me about why it was necessary that I go through this made it such an enjoyable experience.

It sounds crazy, I know. But I love it!

I challenge you to open up your heart and mind to what he is trying to reveal to you in those trying moments. He wants to make us more like Him so he tests us to see how we’ll respond to certain situations. The more me fail and give in to anger and frustration the more times we have to go through the pain of experiencing it again until we get it right.
